Systems Engineer – Medior

Systems Engineer, joining our private cloud team, will be responsible for designing, delivering and operating various services which are a part of our enterprise infrastructure offering tailor made for our customers – companies of various verticals and sizes in the EMEA, EU and USA.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of new and maintenance of existing datacenter technologies and services primarily based on virtualization, storage and HCI
- Providing technical support for on-premises customers throughout their infrastructure and service lifecycle
- Participation in disaster recovery and migration projects, design, delivery and support phases
- Designing backup solutions based on customers’ unique environments
- Development and maintenance of various tools for managing and automating platform operations
- Continuous cooperation with network/security and cloud teams to provide optimal solutions for hybrid cloud use cases
- Providing technical support to the sales team throughout the pre-sales process
- Continuous education and occasional certification related to the technologies used in day-to-day work
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a systems engineer position, preferably for medium/large enterprise or IT systems integrator
- Experience in VMware vSphere and underlying datacenter infrastructure, especially storage systems and SAN
- Experience with Veeam portfolio of backup / DR solutions
- Experience in Windows and Linux Server administration
- Experience with scripting tools (PowerShell, bash, etc.)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking basics
- Knowledge of information security good practices in on-premise/hybrid cloud environments
- Fluency in spoken and written Serbian and English
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
- Previous experience with different virtualization solutions (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, Nutanix)
- Previous experience with storage solutions (NetApp, Dell, HPE, IBM, Huawei)
- Previous experience with projects planning and delivery
- IT certifications (e.g. VMware, Veeam, NetApp, CompTIA etc.)
