Information security engineer is responsible for analyzing and monitoring security incidents, implementing security measures, and contributing to the overall security posture of our customers – companies of various verticals and sizes in the Adriatic region, EU and USA.
Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of new and maintenance of existing managed security services
Proactive monitoring, maintenance and improvement of various tools for security posture management and security incident detection
- Providing technical support for customers throughout their service lifecycle
- Collaboration with other teams to implement security best practices, and assist with compliance assessment for security directives (ISO 27001)
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats
- Continuous education and occasional certification related to the technologies used in day-to-day work
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
- 1-2 years of experience within the IT or cybersecurity industry
- Proficiency in information security best practices
- Proficiency in TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with basic operation of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in a security engineer or security analyst role, preferably within the Security Operation Center
- Experience with endpoint security and NGFW vendors (e.g. Check Point, Fortinet, Sophos)
- Experience with security monitoring tools
- Understanding of application security fundamentals
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA, ECCouncil, Cisco, Check Point etc.)
